Principal

Dear McKinley School Community,

My name is Julie Aguirre and it is an honor to introduce myself as the Principal of McKinley School. As an educator, I know this position is a significant responsibility and it is one that I am very excited to hold. Our mission at McKinley School is to ensure the academic success and preparation of our diverse learners by cultivating curiosity, and critical thinking in our students.

I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child and Adolescent Development with Minors in Spanish and K-8 Mathematics from San Jose State University as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  I taught grades first and second for a number of years before returning to school to obtain my Master of Science Degree in Education Leadership and an Administrative Credential at  California State University, East Bay. In addition to teaching, I have served McKinley School as a Curriculum Support Specialist and as an Assistant Principal.

On a personal note, I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with my friends and  family.

Assistant Principal

Dear McKinley  School Community,

My name is Mr. Vee Prasad and it is an honor to introduce myself as the Vice Principal of McKinley School. As a parent and educator, this is a significant responsibility and one that I am very excited to have. 

I obtained my bachelors, teaching and administrative credential, as well as a masters degree from San Jose State University. I have been in district for 21 years.

I began my career in the Franklin-McKinley School District at McKinley Elementary School in 1993 as a long term substitute. I then transferred to Santee Elementary School as a third and sixth grade teacher for 10 years. I ended my teaching career at Stonegate Elementary School, where I spent 11 years as a sixth and seventh grade teacher.

On a personal note, I am married and have two children. In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, reading, and spending time with my family.
