Monthly Assembly for August

Early Friday morning students, staff and parents gathered on the black top to hear a special message from our principal, learn about our monthly character traits and to hear the names of the students of the month announced.
Ms. Aguirre discussed behavior expectations and consequences with the students to ensure that all students are clear on school rules.  Students discussed character traits that would help them follow these rules as well as being model community members.  The two focus traits for the month are Respect and Responsibility.  This was followed by some performances by Mrs. Ogg's, Ms. Carmody's, and Mrs. Vega's students.  The performances modeled or explained what these traits look and sound like.
To end the assembly, the names of our McKinley Students of the Month for September were announced.
It was a great show of how unified the McKinley school community is, and a great way for parents to be involved in their students' many achievements.
Below we have shared the performances mentioned above for you to enjoy!
