The Franklin-McKinley School District believes a safe and disciplined learning environment is the first requirement of a high performing school. School uniforms will help minimize disruptive behavior, promote respect for oneself and others, build school/community spirit, and, more significantly, help to maintain high academic standards. Please see below for McKinley School uniform options.
Uniform:
- Clean white or dark green polo shirt (with a collar)
- Khaki pants, shorts, or skirts
- All clothes need to fit properly (Not too big and not too tight)
- Sweaters and/or jackets may be any color EXCEPT blue or red
- All clothes must be solid colors with no logos, characters, or print
- No sandals or open-toed shoes
- No excessive jewelry (chains, nose ring, hoop earrings, etc.)
- Belts can be black, white, or brown (no other color)
- Skirts/shorts must be longer than the student's fingertips
- Make up and fake nails are not allowed at school
- Students' hair must be a natural color
**Uniforms may be purchased at: JC Penny’s, Target, Sears and/or Walmart
Free-Dress Days:
- No red or blue clothing (jeans are okay)
- Inappropriate language, images, or logos are not allowed
- All clothes need to fit properly (Not too big and not too tight)
