I am veteran teacher of 30 years. I have taught elementary and middle school migrant students in Watsonville, California. Later, I taught in an alternative setting with high school students in Salinas schools. Now, I have been worked with students in East San Jose since 1993. The struggle and adversity, hope and perseverance that these 3 geographical settings share has inspired my work. Since graduating from University of California at Santa Cruz (BA-History) in 1984, I have looked to tap the creativity of students. Imagination is the power to see ourselves work and play. When students imagine, they succeed.
