School Administration

Principal

My name is Daniel Dennedy-Frank, and I am honored to have served the McKinley community since 2020.  Thank you for working with me towards our school's mission of ensuring the academic success of our diverse learners.

I am an educator that is passionate about creating equitable and joyful learning environments. Originally from New Mexico, I earned a B.A. (Psychology and Spanish) from Whitman College and M.A.s from UC Berkeley (Educational Psychology) and Stanford (Curriculum and Instruction). I have taught preschool through fifth grade, including teaching in a bilingual Spanish program in Santa Clara. I have training in Reading Recovery, SEAL (Sobrato Early Academic Language), and leading teachers in collaborative planning. I have administrative experience running a K-8 summer academy for students that were newcomers to the U.S. or qualified for Migrant Education.  Before coming to McKinley, I was the Assistant Principal at Shirakawa School in the Franklin-McKinley School District.

You are always welcome to e-mail me at:  daniel.dennedyfrank@fmsd.org. You can also request to talk or meet with me with me by calling our office at 408.283.6350 during regular school hours.  I look forward to partnering with all of you to ensure that our students have a wonderful school experience and strong academic success.
