Students & Parents

Welcome to McKinley School!
McKinley School is a community of educators focused on ensuring the academic success and preparation of our diverse learners by cultivation curiosity, confidence, self-direction, and critical thinking in our students. McKinley is a school where all children are Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Problem Solvers.

Within the first two weeks of school all staff will work to build community across the campus and foster respect, responsibility, safety, and being problem solvers.  Staff and students will work towards an understanding of school expectations regarding manners, empathy, and the McKinley BEST norms. We will work to break barriers and build on student strengths.
The character goals will be focused around:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
Be a Problem Solver
All staff will help guide students throughout the year to be responsible, creative, and independent workers by relating grade level work to daily life, thus allowing students to take ownership of their education. Students will work on specific grade level objectives as determined by formative and summative assessments.

Parent involvement plays a critical role in the success of our students and we encourage participation in a variety of ways. For parent involvement opportunities, click here. Please feel free to contact school administration or staff at any time if you have concerns or suggestions.
