Dear McKinley School Community,
My name is Julie Aguirre and it is an honor to introduce myself as the Principal of McKinley School. As an educator, I know this position is a significant responsibility and it is one that I am very excited to hold. Our mission at McKinley School is to ensure the academic success and preparation of our diverse learners by cultivating curiosity, and critical thinking in our students.
I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child and Adolescent Development with Minors in Spanish and K-8 Mathematics from San Jose State University as well as my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I taught grades first and second for a number of years before returning to school to obtain my Master of Science Degree in Education Leadership and an Administrative Credential at California State University, East Bay. In addition to teaching, I have served McKinley School as a Curriculum Support Specialist and as an Assistant Principal.
On a personal note, I enjoy traveling, reading, cooking and spending time with my friends and family.
